A further 5 minutes down the hill is the lovely beach of Centianes. The Rocha Brava estate with poolside bar and restaurants, tennis club (open to non residents) and mini mercado are just 10 minutes away.  The bustling village of Carvoeiro with its beautiful beach is just a 3 minute drive away. Car hire advisable.
